I've been hoping to start my quadruple therapy next weekend. Can't start this weekend because I'm on an another antibiotic for something else. Valentine's day is coming up the week after I finish the H. Pylori treatment and I was hoping to enjoy myself going out and drinking. Would this make the treatment less effective? I know I have to wait 4 weeks to get re-tested to see if eradication has occurred.

Is it a better idea to wait until after Valetine's day to start?

what antibiotics are you taking now? did you ask your doctor about the possibility of combining two treatments?

quick answer is... you can postpone to whenever you like. I am more worried about antibiotic resistance if you expose to too much antibiotics.

I don't think there is any good thing to combining two treatment else doctor can suggest you better.

if her current infection can also be treated with the quadruple therapy, then it can be combined.
