ive been feeling the pain from h. pylori for about a little over a month now.

diagnosed with it on 31st of dec. and since then have lost 13lbs. in total ive lost 25. will this keep up? i fear for my life. i am taking quad therapy but the symptoms seem yo have come back...getting ct scan tomorrow.

H. pylori is a very chronic infection. it'll take decades to cause problem. So I assure you we have plenty of time to sort things out. I look forward to hearing your CT scan result. Meanwhile, can you update us which quadruple therapy had you taken? for how long, when did you finish, and did you book yourself another appointment to do a followup breath test?

i had a bismuth quad therapy with doxycycline and flagyl as my antibiotics. i also took prilosec and another acid reducer. im still having symptoms after the 14 day, im getting a stool test done in a week or two. im really hoping this thing is gone but at the same time im worried if it is gone, because what would be causing the gastritis otherwise? in the beginning this issue seemed to happen overnight which was weird. my endoscopy showed gastritis the dr said. im pretty fatigued and my.stools are easily broken apart and recently have been light green .

if possible, you'll need to stop prilosec for a week before the stool test. have a look at the following guideline. if you really need a acid reducing agent to get you through, you can find something weaker in the list.
