Hi,

I started treatment for Helicobacter yesterday. I am also a type 1 diabetic.
Anyway, I am allergic to penicillin so I have been given Clarithromycin, Metronidazole and Omperazole twice a day.

I started yesterday, took them this morning, after breakfast and within an hour I was on the toilet with Diarrhoea, thrown up and now feeling horribly nauseous with a huge headache. I have to be careful with D&V being a type 1 diabetic.

I just wondered is this likey to stop or am I to expect it for the entire 7 days? hope now

I am surprised that you have the side effect on day 1. They are quite common antibiotics. If it is truly because of the side effects of antibiotics, I am thinking that you'll have this awful experience throughout the 7 days. I would suggest you speak to your doctor and get him to closely monitor you.
