I recently began experiencing a burning pain in my the area of my navel and in my stomach. It came on gradually. It subsides when I eat. I also all of a sudden have acid reflux, crazy bowel movements and am burping all of the time and a lot of gas. I also periodically have a dull aching pain in my back sometimes burning pain. A gastro doc wanted me to do a endoscopy and colonoscopy which is quite costly. I am also bloated and just feel achy all over. I am going to ask my GP if he will consider testing me for H pylori and treating me for an ulcer prior to the two procedures being done to see if that will reveal anything. Does anyone have any info that might help me? Are any of these symptoms of H Pylori?

H. pylori covers many symptoms. I think it's reasonable to be tested with urea breath test prior seeing a specialist. If you can be treated with antibiotics, then that will save you a trip to the endoscopy suite.
