Hi,

My wife found this forum and suggested I ask for some advice.

For the past 4 years I have been having problems with vomiting first thing in the morning as soon as I get out of bed. It seems to be mucus like sometimes white sometimes yellow. Before i get out if bed i have a lot of gas coming out of both ends and vomiting usually comes after I have gone to the toilet. I had a breath test done and the score was 160 so inconclusive. My doctor has prescribed nexium for the moment and will decide if a referral is needed for an endoscopy once stool test has come back.

I usually have these symptoms 1 to 3 days a week. Has anyone else had symptoms like these?

I think your symptom is, not severe, but a bit more than abnormal. Usually H. pylori doesnt cause vomit. However, it is responsible for many gastric symptoms and perhaps you have a funny strain. If you have not been taking antibiotics for the past 6 months, you can also consider blood test. It will be more sensitive for your case.

if you do get an endoscopy, do ask for antibiotic sensitivity test. That will increase chance of treatment success and reduce unnecessary antibiotic resistance.
