Is my HP back?

I had HP in October 2012 which was a month of pure agony. I got the triple therapy, but the severe heartburn lasted for weeks afterwards. It's something you never want to experience again. For a few months afterward I had some occasional, minor heartburn. I recovered slowly and I haven't had any problems until a week ago. Last week I started to get heartburn and cramping (not as bad two years ago, but annoying). The heartburn lasts for hours and I have been getting minor stomach pains. I did not get retested in the 1st time to see if it was eradicated.
Is it possible that the HP was never eradicated, or it's come back?

You never know until you get tested. So, I suggest you see a local GP and get yourself another breath test to see if H. pylori still present. If it is still there, you'll need a different set of antibiotics. it's ok to repeat amoxicillin.

So I took all of the Prilosec I have left for two weeks and it seemed to have no effect. My heartburn and sour stomach is not nearly as bad as when I got HP in 2012, but it is starting to get rather bothersome regarding sleep and daily activities. I went to the doctor yesterday (finally) and I told her my symptoms; and I told her that I had HP in 2012 and I never got a retest to see if it was eradicated. She checked me out and she was concerned Prilosec has not worked. She said I might have to take the Prilosec longer if it is acid reflux. She did confirm the HP I had may have returned or maybe was never wiped out completely. She gave me month's prescription for Prilosec and she referred me out to get an endoscopy. I am not exactly happy about the endoscopy, for various reasons. No one in this area seems not to want to do, or have, a breath test. Any thoughts?

perhaps you should look for second opinion who has access to breath test? However, if you are going for the endoscopy, do ask the doctor to get an antibiotic sensitivity test done (If you are H. pylori positive). That way, you doctor can prescribe the most efficient antibiotics for your treatment.
