Has anyone had IBS symptoms prior to being diagnosed with H.Pylori and then found that they went away after treatment and eradication? I am dealing with bloating, gas and spasms still while on my 10th day of treatment. I have a few other questions as well...

I am also being tested for celiac disease soon....will this blood test show the possibility of crohn's disease as well? Does crohn's always cause diarrhea?
Can celiac disease cause lower abdominal cramping and gas? I am trying to figure out if this is caused by the medication I am on, celiac disease or the HP bacteria itself.

Some IBS are due to bacterial imbalance. the antibiotics you took for H. pylori kind of reset the normal flora in your lower guts. Perhaps you would like to take some probiotics to prevent the bad bacteria to come back.

blood test cannot show the possibility of crohn's disease. However, by testing for anaemia may give a hint for crohn disease.

celiac disease may cause lower abdominal cramping and gas.

in conclusion, we dont know if it is celiac disease or HP. after the treatment, try to get a followup breath test to confirm the eradication. wait a few months and see if you recovered.
