Burning stomach weeks after eradication

Hi

I was diagnosed with H. Pylori two months ago, and completed the antibiotics cure. Two weeks ago I got the results from my breath test which said the Pylori was gone.

But now I'm feeling worse than with the Pylori. My stomach burns a lot almost every day regardless of what I eat - and before the treament I have never had burning in my stomach. Is this normal? I should mention that I've tried pantoprazole for the last week, but it does'nt seem to do much of a difference. How long could it take to recover?

Best regards

I think the most important thing is you got rid of H. pylori. Then symptoms you are feeling is probably due to the stomach is trying to adjust itself. after all, it has been with H. pylori for decades. The recovery vary from patient to patient. Some lucky one, feel great immediately after treatment. Some not so lucky one, will take months for it to get back to normal.
