My first treatment failed and I had to give up on the 4th day of my second round of treatment which was tetracycline 500 mgs QDS..... metronidazole 400mgs tds ... 1X tripot dicitratobismuthate tablet qds
ranitidine 300mgs Twice a day

I felt as though someone had injected me with poison .Apart from the cramps headaches etc I couldnt eat and kept wretching I felt as though I was dying . I suffered with hyperemesis with my two children and had to be admitted to hospital so there is some susceptibility there . From what I have read I feel it might be the metro but it could be the tetra as I had to take it on an empty stomach ...or the combination of all three. Im on antidepressants now as i am experiencing panic attacks and worrying myself to death as to what I can do next . can you give me any advice and is there a strong anti emetic i can take in the future for the nausea .I'm in the UK

You have done 4 days. that's very good. you may be lucky that the H. pylori get eradicated. So, you should wait for a month, re-do the test to find out if you still have H. pylori in your stomach.

it was a 14 day course so I would be surprised if I had eradicated it . Also can you answer my last question about if there is a strong anti emetic I can take ? Thanks

ah.. I am not too sure. It's again, very subjective. Maybe some dopamine antagonists? eg. domperidone?
