How to Cope with Treatment

I had a blood test which tested positive for h pylori. My symptoms were gas, bloating, acid reflux, heart burn, tightness in my chest and a pain on my right side just under my rib cage especially after eating. The dr prescribed me the two antibiotics and antacid treatment for 14 days. I am on day 6 and have been experiencing diarrhea (at least 3 times a day), lower abdominal pain and cramping and bloating. Should I go back to the dr and ask for a probiotic to help with the diarrhea? I can't imagine having it for 14 days straight. I started eating activia yogurt to see if that would help but would a probiotic pill be more effective?

you are doing great. Diarrhea is just the side effect of the antibiotics. I am not sure if any probiotics or yogurt going to help. I would assume they will all get killed by the antibiotics. Just one more week to go. keep up the good work.

Thank you for the encouragement. I've been taking metronidazole and clarithromycin and omeprazole. Hoping it works!
