why one should go for UBT before starting treatment? I mean patient complaining gastric discomfort can get treatment (triple regimen) for the same money spent for testing.... i got this query from insurance company.

any logical discussion on this topic?

Well, the answer is quite simple. Why would you take a triple therapy if you don't have Helicobacter Pylori? First you have to make sure that your symptoms are caused by the bacteria. Treating people without doing a proper diagnostic would be very wrong. Antibiotics should never be given without bacterial infection. Hope this answer your question.
