How long off PPIs before testing?

Hi,
I've noticed that on this site it indicates that you need to be off PPIs for one week before testing. However, other sites I've looked at say you have to be off at least two or more weeks. Is there some evidence showing that one week is enough?

I was treated for h pylori 3 months ago after the blood antibody test was positive (I'd never been treated before) but seem to have some symptoms coming back. I have other health conditions, and when I go off PPIs I tend to get quite sick, which affects the other conditions. One week I could probably manage, two would be very tough.

Thanks for your help!

Have a look at this guideline
http://www.imvs.sa.gov.au/wps/wcm/conne ... OD=AJPERES

you may substitute your PPI with something mild, like a H2 blocker. Then you can have it until a day or two before the UBT.
