DEAR SIR,
I AM A GENERAL PHYSICIAN WHO HAS BEEN REFERED A PT WITH RECURRENT H PYLORI WITH A BCKG OF PENICILLIN ALLERGY
HIS UBT IS POSITIVE.
MY QUESTION IS WHETHER TO ADVANCE TO DE NOL BASED THERAPY

For penicillin allergic patients who failed the metronidazole and clarithromycin triple therapy, we normall prescribe the PBRC quadruple therapy.
You may find our published work here. However, please bare in mind that the study is based on Western Australia population. The Helicobacter pylori antibiotic resistant profile in your country my differ.

With regards to precribing PRBC
I gather that Special access scheme is required for approval for bismuth, is that the same with cipro and rifabutin
