Curious - what next?

I found this forum after I completed my triple therapy (Nexium HP7). It has literally been just a day since I finished and so I am really wondering, what next.
I certainly understand the breath test in one month - will head off to do that.
But what I am finding is that the pain is still present but made worse by certain foods, especially fruit.
I have been off breads/gluten for a week or so.
I thought I would just feel better (no pain) after the antibiotics.
Any thoughts on how people usually feel after the treatment?

Good luck! I finished my course on June 1 and have seen many improvements, but I still have something going on because I get "flare ups" and some days I feel better than others, but ahve yet seen a day where I feel normal. You might need an endoscopy, which is what I'll have to get if I don't get better soon.

If you still feel pain, you should see doctor and discuss possible of ulcer. If you do have ulcer, they'll prescribe you PPI for a month. Nevertheless, you can just take PPI for a month anyway and see if that solve the problem. you can then do your breath test 2 months later.

Hmmm, thanks for the replies.
The HP was confirmed through an endoscopy. I was told there wasn't an ulcer but that I have generalised gastritis and excessive bile. I started on PPI for about a month before the HP7 as I was going away for a couple of weeks. I didn't feel any better on the PPI.
Can the pain just be the residual effect of the gastritis?
I haven't had any symptoms of reflux or indigestion - just pain on the right side for about 8 months.
I also had nausea and loss of appetite (both of those things settled down quite a few months ago).
As I said, I am curious as to how I should feel. Pain free? Little bit of pain?

i think it takes time to recover. Since you already done endoscopy and histology, it should cover everything. Most importantly, you have no ulcer and no cancer.

Thank you for the reassurance.
You're right, I just need some time to recover. I just wasn't sure what to expect next.

You didn't need to be worry about any matter. The all you need to do is to take some time to recover

congrats. have you experienced any side effects?
there is nothing much to do next. Just wait for your stomach to recover.

It has been about six weeks since HP7 and some diet changes.
I am not sure what the expert opinion is about working on general stomach health through eating a more alkaline diet.
On the whole I'm having less pain, some reflux triggered by acidic foods and some fruits.
Is there any research in to diet and stomach health post-helico treatment?
As I say, I am the curious one
