the antibody in your blood will stay in your body for months, sometimes years. i wouldnt expect the antibody count to raise without exposure to antigen. However, the readings may differ according to laboratories. Nevertheless, the antibody count is not relevant to severity. The more or less antibody count in your body does not associate to worse or better infection.

I am suffering from Chronic Gastritis and Ulcer problem from last 3 years. and had Helicobactor Pylori Postive.

Last month i endoscoped, serveral biopsys for H.pylori were taken but it came Negative. ( No culture were done ).
Now last week i did stool atigen for H.pylori it came also Negative.

i am also doing my blood atibodies regularly from past 3 years, from same laboratory but there is serious confusion.
my blood atibodies were negative at one spot and biosy came postive.
and Now at Present situation my Blood antibodies are coming postive consistently, infact they are raising regularly.

On the otherhand, my symtoms are almost same !

unfortunately your blood test cannot tell your current infection. you'll need stool or breath test to tell if you are still infected with H. pylori.

your blood test should remain positive. the amount of antibodies is not important.

since your endoscopy result came back negative for H. pylori, i think you should seek specialist and explore other possibilities.

anyway, what did your endoscopy report say? do you have ulcer? if you do, you'll need to take PPI for at least a month and repeat endoscopy.

i usually get acid reflux along with mouth ulcer and tonsils , if i take something wrong ( fried food/ beverages etc)
i cann't live without PPI/H2 and Antacid, and takes regularly. (Esso 40 daily in the morning and Zantac 150 in the night)

(May 2013) My last endscopy report states that : i have moderate pangastritis in stomach.
and according to biopsy: i have mild chronic non-specific inflammation in fundal, duodenum and antral.

( August 2012) My second last endoscopy also report state that i have moderate pangastritis in stomach.
and biopsy: i had H.Pylori postive alongwith focal intestial metaplaisa. ( which is recover now )

on my personal view : i have done endoscopy twice in my life ( on both occasion i was very much stable, with repect to my bad/worse time { i thing that may be i had )

so your last endoscopy done this year did not test for H. pylori?

7-8 times treatment with the same antibiotics? if so, your H. pylori must be really resistant now. What antibiotics have you been taking?

they took multiple biopsys but it has came negative, (and they didnt take culture for H.Pylori)
and yes 7-8 times treatment with same antibiotics ( amoxicillin, Clarithromycin and metronidazole).

Nops not ! As i told you i has came negative in biopsy as well as in stool test , Although i do have same problem chronic pangastritis along with acid reflux etc .

Should i go for another endoscopy ?
