Should I see a Specialist?

I have recently tested positive for H Pylori after going to my GP for stomach pain. Should I insist that he send me to a specialist for treatment?

Your GP should be able to prescribe a treatment to eradicate the bacteria. I would see a specialist if it gets more complicated (resistance to treatment, more symptoms...)

agree with apprentice. try the standard triple therapy from your local GP first. the cure rate is about 80%
