Hi experts,

In case, when UBT comes positive for hp without any problematic symptoms but incomplete evacuation of stool.
should the host go get the hp eradication treatment( keeping in mind 80% of population have hp in their stomach) or
should he wait for symptoms to appear ?

If I was Hp positive I would prefer being treated but this is my personel opinion. Once the symptoms are there they can be pretty bad.

A very good question. There are many people in the world who are infected and asymptomatic. Since there is some new research suggested that it may be a good bacteria that maintain our weight and keep out of allergies, it is hard to decide if we should get rid of it, in the case of asymptomatic.

Nevertheless, it's a chronic infection and stomach ulcers or cancer takes years to develop. Therefore, in my opinion, patients without cancer genetic background, young, healthy, living in low cancer region, and low salt diet, can avoid the treatment. patients with the opposite should be treated.

by the way, have a look at the consensus report. it has some guideline in terms of when and how to treat h. pylori.
