Should I continue Prevpac treatment?

I was recently told by my doctor that I had H. Pylori Bacteria.

First, I'm not sure if it's correct. The doctor performed a blood test, and only once. I wanted to be sure by getting a different test.

I started my anti-biotics today (Prev-Pac triple treatment) and my stomach is really upset. I already have problems with yeast, i'm afraid antibiotics will aggravate this problem.

I took the 4 am doses, and the 4 pm doses. Today is my first day. I want to stop this treatment, and get retested for H. Pylori... but I'm wondering whether it's too late... I would hate for this bacteria to be anti-biotic resistant if I stop now.

Is it too late?

The blood test is very accurate. If it is positive and you have never been treated before then yes, you are positive.
Unless the side effects are unbearable, I would recommend finishing this treatment until the end as scheduled. Otherwise, your bacteria may become resistant and next treatment will have to be stronger.

yea. stopping your treatment mid way will only give resistance to the bug. So, if the side effect is tolerable, just keep going. think positive. think brave.
