PBRC treatment Dosage Intervals

Hi again Everybody,

So I've finally started the PBRC quadruple therapy treatment and was wondering due to the large amounts of pills I am taking (11x daily) whether I'm taking it at the right Intervals. The pharmacist advised me to take the Bismuth Subcitrate about 2 hrs apart from the antibiotics, yet I am not entirely sure this is effective or not for this particular treatment. Below I've compiled a list outlining when I take what:

Quadruple Thearpy Treatment Dosage Intervals

08:00 Hrs
1x Rabeprazole
1x Ciprofloxacin
1x Rifabutin

10:30 Hrs
1x Pepto Bismol

13:30 Hrs
1x Pepto Bismol

14:00 Hrs
1x Rabeprazole

16:30 Hrs
1x Pepto Bismol

20:00 Hrs
1x Rabeprazole
1x Ciprofloxacin
1x Rifabutin

21:30 Hrs
1x Pepto Bismol

Spreading out the doses does make sense. However, it is not proven to make any difference. In fact, in one study, two doses per day given at mealtimes was just as effective.
Also, separating one type of tablet from the other, is unnecessary. If anyone knows of true evidence on these points let me know.
Actually, I would recommend that you take 8 Pepto-Bismol tabs daily. 8-)

Greetings Barry,

And Thank you for the reassurance that I can't go wrong no matter how I decide to take the medication ! :D
Also I should be fine taking two Pepto Bismol's rather than one since it does state on the bottle to take two four times daily regardless.
From what I recall the pharmacist did say it would be Ok to take Pepto Bismol with Antibiotics, but that it may cause the Antibiotics to be less effective.
