I'm very new to this discussion and wanted your thoughts on some of my suspicions. Over 12 mths ago I had chronic Angioedema & Urticaria which was treated with Steroid & Gen 2 Antihistamines until I finally got to see an immunologist. After many tests he found I had H Pylori. As Angioedema is one of those truly wonderfully weird and miserably conditions, that no one can tell me how or why, he treated me for H Pylor and the Angioedema settled and I was in remission for over 6 mths. Since the hot weather has hit, my Angioedema is back full force, but I'm also getting symptoms of H Pylori again, I'm off to the Dr's today. So obviously you can contract H Pylori again. The only suspect of contracting this again is our fresh rain water tank. Is it possible for the bacteria to become concentrated in a low fresh water tank? If so, what is the best way to eradicate it from a rain water tank? Thank you so much from a very itchy and swollen lady :)

Hi,

The chance of water contamination is very low unless you are living in a very underdeveloped country where there is basically no water treatment. I suspect that your previous antibiotic did not work because your h. pylori has gain resistant ability.

H. pylori does not survive well outside human body. so catching H. pylori again is not easy, unless your partner is also infected. constant sharing food and water might be the source.

nevertheless, i suggest you to go back to your doctor, change a different antibiotic treatment plan, then follow up your treatment with urea breath test.

meanwhile, you can check our recent publication on treatment plan.
