Supplements for Post-treatment and waiting for Breath Test

Hi, I have just finished my Triple Therapy & awaiting breath test. Post therapy though, I hv been experiencing burping and stomach churning/burning. I know that PPIs should not be taken while waiting for breath test. But is it possible to go on natural supplements that have anti-microbial properties (e.g., sulforaphane, DGL) or stomach protection/healing properties (e.g., Slippery Elm; L-glutamine)?

unfortunately, anything that will reduce the acid or bacterial activity will lead to false negative result in breath test. You can keep taking your PPI (for months) until you are confident to stop for 2 weeks and then go for the post treatment breath test to find out if you are cured.

Thks again for reply. I was told by the clinic staff (who checked with the lab) that if I took any anti-bacterial supplements (e.g., Ginseng, Lingzhi, Broccoli Sprouts Extract), I'd just have to abstain for 3 days before taking the test. What are your thoughts on this? Also, I'm taking other types of supplements (digestive enzymes, L-Glutamine, multi-vits etc). Any advice on how I could determine if they are anti-microbial in anyway? I know these are difficult questions but thks for attempting anyway!

in my opinion, none of those will affect the UBT result. As long as you do not over dose yourself. Anything too much is not healthy. Nevertheless, I think you probably should have at least 4 hrs empty stomach before the UBT. I believe 4 hrs is should be enough for your stomach to be empty.
