I was finally diagnosed with Helicobacter on Wednesday after an endoscopy, after months of main and discomfort I was finally glad to get diagnosed. I was at my GP yesterday who gave me the required treatment ( Clarithomycin - 500mg, Metronidazole - 400mg and 1 lanzaprozle) I have too take the three tablets twice a day and was warned by the pharmacist to try to persevere wit h the side effects :S

Well i have only had one full days worth of meds and I feel like rubbish :( The burning kn-awing sensation has returned in my stomach and radiating through to my back, I feel so bloated with wind and constantly feel nauseous amd currently dreading taking today's batch ( I know I need too)

JUst wondering how everyone else felt through their treatment? and is their anyway to ease the symptoms as I cant handle feeling like this for a full week :(

It is important that you finish the course. H. pylori mutate quickly and if you stop now, it is likely that H. pylori will be resistant to these antibiotics. It'll be harder to treat later on.

So, I suggest you continue with the treatment. It can be a little yucky, especially the metallic taste in your tongue.

How long until you noticed some relief from your symptoms?

unfortunately it depends on the severity of the damage done by H. pylori. But in general, within a week, you'll feel better. Some member in this forum did waited months before they feel better.
