Hi, finished my treatment about four weeks ago, I feel much better than I did, eating more etc. still have some bloating, nausia and feeling tired. just wondered what the h pylori and treatment does to your stomach and what usually happens when recovering? eg is your stomach trying to repair itself and how long can this take

Hello,
First, it is important to check that the treatment worked and that H.pylori is eradicated. You can do a simple Urea Breath Test, 4 weeks after your treatment, so now. Once the bacteria is eradicated, your stomach will start recover by itself. It can takes a while, sometime several months. It is not easy to say what Hp did to your stomach unless you had an endoscopy. Most of the time people have gastritis and it goes away after treatment.

I just got the confirmation that the H Pylori has been eradicated!! I'm so excited. Other than the Globus and anxiety/panic attacks I have, I feel so much better than I did! Thank you so much for this forum. I could not have mentally made it through without you

unfortunately you cannot do breath test nor stool test when you are on PPI. I am sure you can do this in Britain.
