Has anyone experienced a loss of taste from all the antibiotics? It's been 2 months since my treatment ended and I'm having trouble tasting and have a bad taste. I've been on medication for thrush, but it hasn't helped.

one of our patients happened to ask the exact same question. We dont have an answer. However, the theory was, the antibiotics wipe out the mouth bacteria that used to give you sense of taste. This is pure speculation with no reference. I like to see more people bring that up. by the way, which antibiotics did you take?

I took the Prevpac which is 1 pill lansoprazole 30-mg, 2 pills amoxicillin 500-mg, and 1 pill clarithromycin 500-mg, 2x/day for 14 days.

perhaps it's due to Clarithromycin? I know it gives metallic bad taste.

Yes... it usually happend when we take medicine. whenever i counter such problem i take some spices.
