Hi,

I am currently on my 13th day of Quadruple Therapy. For the last few days I have been suffering what feels like bladder pain. I also have a frequent need to urinate even when my bladder isn't full. Does anyone know if the is a relationship between this condition and HP? I had mild bladder pain before treatment started and a similar episode occured a month ago. I have read on one site that Interstatial Cystitis may be affected by Gastric issues. Any input from the board is very welcome.

Regards

tell us what antibiotics are you having. See if we can correlate it to any side effects.

Hi,

On a daily basis I'm on:

4 x Tripotassium Dicitratobismuthate
8 x 250 mg Tetracycline
3 x 400 mg Metrinazadole
4 x 30 mg Lansoprazole

It should be said that I had similar issues of constant need to urinate between the last batch of triple therapy and the current quadruple therapy. Although a urine test didn't show infection, I was put on a 4 day course of ciproflaxin which seemed to ease the symptoms however they have returned.

A quick look around the Internet seems to suggest I could have Interstitial Cystitis/Painful Bladder Syndrome or maybe even Non Bacterial Prostatitis. I'm at my wits end between the nausea, fatigue and now this. I'm even open to the fact that the stress of fighting the HP might be exacerbating my bladder pain. Alternatively, has the large numbet of antibiotics I've taken in the last six or so weeks leading to other problems?

Is this something anyone else has ever experienced? If matters don't improve I will be seeing my GP soon although just now I feel it's a new problems everyone I see them.
