have you got to take ppi after helico, if so for how long and why? :?

you can stop PPI after treatment. However, if you are diagnosed with stomach ulcer, you will be asked to take PPI until it's healed. It can be as long as a few months. In some cases, people who takes aspirin daily in low dose to prevent heart disease or stroke, doctors may ask them to take PPI too. The PPI will give some degree of protection of the stomach from aspirin (or ibuprofen, or any NSAIDs).

It is recommended that you do.

H. Pylori can inflame your duodenum or stomach. If this happens the sooner you treat it the better!

I have only mild inflammation and it's causing me a word of problems. I wish I had kept taking PPI after my eradication therapy. But the down side to that is you can't take PPI or H2 blockers then take breath test 4-5 weeks after eradication therapy to check if you are still infected with hpylori.
