Today, during an On Point WBUR/NPR radio program that was broadcast throughout the US, Dr. Jennifer Ackermann and Dr. Martin Blazer (Your Inner Ecosystem) reported that they have received money from the Bill Gates Foundation to reintroduce H. Pylori into children, if I understood this correctly. According to Dr. Blazer, H. Pylori has been around for thousands of years; it decreases the risk of esophageal cancer and has beneficial effects for the immune system. The thrust of his program was that some bacteria that are beneficial have been nearly eliminated (H. Pylori). Where did this man get his information? I thought the International Agency for the Research on Cancer deemed H. Pylori a carcinogen in 1994. How can the US Food and Drug Administration approvie this? Can anyone further investigate this situation and please inform Dr. Marshall This is very scary to me as BOTH parents had H. Pylori and stomach cancer Thank you so much for your time in this matter.

Interesting topic. Dr. Blazer is one of the few that believes H. pylori can be beneficial to man kind. Studies have shown that it has inversely association with Asthma and allergies. Some even think it contribute to skinniness.

I think this mouse model study is quite convincing about H. pylori inversely related to asthma

also, you can have a look at the following guideline about how H. pylori should be managed. It tells you all about the disease related to H. pylori and how it should be treated.
