Hi, I was recently treated for HP as a blood test showed thats what I had, I then had a stool test that said I no longer had it, I still had pain and discomfort so got sent for a scan turns out I have Gallstones and a cyst on my kidney, are either of these things linked to HP please

Thank you

H. pylori has no association to stones and cysts in kidney. The good news is you have H. pylori removed so easily. However, can I know when you start and stop taking your antibiotics and when did you do your stool test to confirm the treatment?

I must be the first. Yay! Because I have had nothing but problems with mine amongst other things after coming off the treatment for H-pylori. Never had any problems before, but afterwards I sure did. I don't know if H-pylori caused your gallstones, but I have read that people that lose significant amounts of weight within a short time, are vulnerable to developing gallstones, that is why people that have weight loss surgery are advised to have their gallbladders removed. Lots of people that have had this infection have complaints of rapid weight loss, some as much as 20 to 30 pounds within a few weeks. I know I did.
