Not tolerating PPI's

Is there anything else I could take to heal the damage from h pylori?

I've been on Prilosec and broke out in a rash, tingling in legs, and bad muscle pain.
Aciphex was having muscle spasms and tingling in legs
Dexilant was having tremors, muscle spasms and tingling in legs.
Protonix a little bit of tingling, but back itching real bad.

I'm afraid to try any more of the PPI's and don't get relief from the H2's. Anything else to help heal the mild inflammation and healing ulcer?

From your previous post, you had the standard amoxy-based triple therapy and you are asked to have PPI for 2 months. But you did not mention that how you know you have ulcer. did you do an endoscopy?

the inflammation is mainly due to H. pylori. I guess the only way would be getting rid of the bacteria. you probably need to ask your doctor for a 2nd line antibiotics.

Ever since the therapy I feel worse. I don't think I'll be able to come off the PPI's long enough to get a test scheduled. Is it okay to switch to a H2? My doctor thought it would be good to do a stool test, but it was negative I'm assuming since I was on the PPI. Will there be a test to check when you're on a PPI soon?

if you really want to test HP when you are on PPI, the only option you have is endoscopy and grow the bacteria from your biopsy.
