Hello board.
I'm currently waiting by biopsy results. I believe I still have the bacteria. My symptoms are as follow:
Lost of appetite
Bloated with a sense of fullness
Abdominal pain and spasms
irritation and burning in abdo
Secondly, effects
back ache/pain
chest ache/pain
Here is my History:

February 2011: Stool Test and Blood Test= positive for H.pylori
March 2011: Prevpac 14days
2x Amoxcillin 500mg
1x Clarithromycin 500mg
1x Lansoprazole 30mg

September 2011: Endoscopy w/biopsy = positive

October 2011: 14days
3x Tetraciclina 500mg every 8hrs.
3x Metronidazol 500mg every 8hrs.
3x Peptobismol every 8hrs.
2x Nexium 40mg

November 2011: UBT= positive

2x Levofloxacino 500mg
2x Amoxcilina 500mg
2x Nexium 40mg

January 2012: Endoscopy w/biopsy: waiting for results.

If my results are positive, what would be my physicans next course of action be? As the Dr. stated further antibiotics would result in low percentage of eradication.
Is it time to get a second opinion?
Is constipation a common symptom?
Is weight loss common, As I have currently loss approx. 30 lbs
Any thought on Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) in the A.m and Nexuium in the P.M? I have read on differnt forum positive feedback.

can you ask your doctor to get antibiotic sensitivity test? find out exactly what antibiotic is your h. pylori is resistant to before any more antibiotics.

I will be asking the Dr. if a sensitivity test has been performed or if one can be performed.
Is the sensitivity test not a standard procedure when dealing with this bacteria?
Thanks for your reply.

it's a recommended procedure, but due to the cost, most doctor will not recommend.

it's hard to say. did you do a follow up breath test last time to make sure it is successfully eradicated? if it survived last time and has been in your stomach quietly, then it may be resistant to antibiotics.

if it is a new infection, then it will be from your close one. what antibiotics have you taken and are you taking now?
