H pylori vaccine hitting the market?

Hello everyone...
I was searching the web to see if there has been any knew research done on developing a vaccine for h pylori and found this site
http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/vi ... id/4216326 that says China has developed a vaccine that will be hitting the market in 2011. Does anyone know anything about this?
Hope it's true and prevents people from getting this nasty bug!

I really hope your right. Ive had HP for 4 years now and the frequency and severity of my symptoms are increasing. Its debilitating and depressing and I would pay a kings ransom for a vaccine. Fingers crossed and Im sure we will hear about it on this site first.

I know how you feel I've been battling it aswell for about 3 years, and have tried every antibiotic available in the US. But the vaccine is to prevent people from getting it not a cure
But hey that gives us hope that when we finally get rid of it it won't come back!

the current hot topic is... should we get rid of H. pylori?
there are lots of studies repetitively shown the inverse association of H. pylori and diseases such as asthma, Barrett's esophagus, GORD, and etc.
perhaps, a systematic eradication plan should be looked into.
