Been reading about diets specific to Blood Type from the Dr D'Adamo book & website.

One of the claims he makes is that O type is susceptible to H Pylori.

I'm type O & have had H Pylori (hopefully now gone after Quad therapy).

Would you concur with this claim?

Thanks

hi,

i find it hard to believe that H. pylori susceptibility has anything to do with blood type. I may be wrong but, there is no hard evidence yet. I briefly read through the 1991 paper and i dont find it significant.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article ... 8-0076.pdf

then i found an later paper published in 2005 that support the insignificant association.

I've found another paper that looks like there is a relationship:

Also there is a relationship between blood type 0 and intestinal/stomach cancer if I'm not wrong.

By the way I'm type O and having hard time with Helicobacter!

I am going to write a proposal to get a medical student for this project.
