rophic gastritis

My problem (bloating after meals) started last Nov & tested positive for helico. Took triple medication & tested negative & was feeling fine but did not follow up with endoscopy as recommended. The symptoms came back Mar & did endoscopy & disgnosed with atrophic gastritis (intestinal metaplasia) but no helico present & cancer
Has been on Pariet/Carafete since & eating healthy & exercise. Lost a fair bit of weight as food intake has been reduced (still can’t take big meals – eating frequent meal) & no more bloating at this stage. Trying to eat more to gain weight but is tricky as sometimes not sure whether stomach is hungry or overeating as stomach is so sensitive !
Saw specialist again & been told to continue with Pariet & Carafete (1 more month) with follow up endcoscopy in year time.
I can see a long recovery process & should I be worry about it ?
