I just found this wonderful site today.. I'm wondering if you can get H plori a second time? I was treated w/anibiotics 5 years ago after I'd had "a tube down your throat test" and it was detected... I'm now naseous in the a.m. when I get up, and feel like belching a lot. I'm 55 years old, it's been suggested some of my symptoms could be menopausal?? I see my specialist next week.. I've tried not drinking coffee first thing in the morning, but I so hate doing that. Any thoughts?

Hi, it is possible to catch the bug again. However, it is more likely that the bug was not completely removed in your previous treatment. You can always go back to your GP and ask for a breath test. It's very easy and non-invasive.
