How long does recovery take?

My 19 year old daughter was diagnosed with H. Pylori about 6 weeks ago, after 4 weeks of trying to figure out what was wrong with her. She was on 2 rounds of Prev. Pack for a total of 4 weeks and now is feeling poorly again. She wants to get back to her life but with no appetite or energy due to the symptoms, it is difficult. Anyone have any ideas as to how long it takes to recover from this? Anyone have any ideas on what to do next? We are extremely frustrated. Sorry if this has been addressed. I am new here.

has she done another test, eg. breath test, to make sure that the bug has been removed after the first treatment?

She has a follow up visit next month. Not sure what that will entail. I did call the doctor yesterday but have not heard back from them. Is the breath test reliable? During her diagnosis, two blood tests came up negative for H. Pylori. The endocopic biopsy was the only positive test. I would not like her to have to do that again.

The breath test is quite accurate. Let's wait for the result.
