it's probably your stomach trying to adjust itself. if you need, you may want to take some more PPI to control the pain. if the problem persist a week, then you need to see the doctor. Nevertheless, i would encourage you to get a breath test appointment a month later to confirm the treatment.

I finished my pylera less than a month ago so too early to gest tested.
But I just wanted to let you know that I heard this morning that I have clostridium difficile infection. (I had clostridium difficile 2 years ago following antibiotics) ; so now here again, after pylera, another clostridium diffcile infection. I am worn out and totally depressed.

I am sorry to hear what happened. I am surprise to hear that you got C. difficile after Pylera. because I always believe that bismuth in the Pylera would prevent C. difficile. Anyway, just another batch of antibiotics. It'll be over very soon. Hopefully you will say good bye to H. pylori forever.

In addition, it's important to keep up the positive energy. depression weaken your immune system and you'll get all sort of funny symptoms.

Question for helico expert - quite urgent.

As I said a few weeks ago, I developped clostridium difficile a month after my treatment with pylera.

The Gastro specialist wants to do a fecal transplant. Concerning my donor, I have first thought about my sister, but she has just received her HP breath test, and it is positive (even if the rate is low : 563).

Yesterday I had an appointment with the fecal transplant specialist and told him that my sister has HP. He replied : "It doesn't matter, It has been proven that Helicobacters are dead when we find them in stools, so if they are dead, you can receive the stools of your sister".

What do you think about it? My God I am sceptical.

So for the moment, I am in search of a donor around my family, but it is hard because a lot of members of my family has got HP.

If I can't find a donor without HP, what will I have to do?

I really need to know if helicobacters are dead or not in stools, so totally harmless in the case of my future fecal transplant.

Sorry for the slow response. I am inexperienced with fecal transplant. it make sense that one should not use a HP positive fecal donor. Nevertheless, based on the bowel movement, HP should not travel upwards to the stomach. So, I'll try to get a response from Prof. Marshall. See what he thinks.

Thanks for your story. It's always difficult when you are diagnosed with blood test. Let's assumed that you had H. pylori and your treatment of Mastic gum regimen works. So what's your strategy?

I think your latest answer is in my discussion by mistake. Didn't take any mastic gum. Just Pylera then caught clostridium difficle a month later.
