I’m currently on day 11 of the treatment. I’ve been supplementing my treatment with bismuth for the last 7-8 days. Do you think it will make a big difference if I do this treatment for 11 days instead of 14 in terms of successful eradication rate? I assume if the bacteria were to be resistant to the clarithromicyn then it wouldn’t make much of a difference anyway? My doctor said 10 day treatment is okay but might not be as effective as the 14 day treatment and that I definitely should not do only 7 days treatment.

I think 11 days is probably enough. Are you experiencing any side effect? what's the motivation of stopping the treatment on day 11 instead of 14?

I get a strange mild pain on the left side of my chest and sometimes my back at times but it comes and goes and doesn’t happen too often but it still happens. I don’t believe I have any underlying heart conditions so my doctor said I’m not at high risk for a complication with that from these meds. They said it’s likely acid reflux. I’m also not a big fan of pills/antibiotics so I try to reduce my use as much as possible.

I actually was part of a Hyperbaric Oxygen study at U Penn Hospital. Im not sure that I have noticed a huge difference in my arm, but it made the constant pain go away. My doctor said that the results may be slow, so Im still hoping It was a great study, although be prepared for your life to be completely interupted for a few weeks
