It is common to develop some reflux symptoms after treatment. You can switch to famotidine and see if that is also helpful. Famotidine will not interfere with the breath test result.

Ok - I finally have an update! I completed my treatment with tetracycline, furazolidone, nexium and bismuth - and did an endoscopy. The endoscopy was all clear, and there was no h.pylori detected - my specialist also ordered breath test to confirm - and it came back negative!! After 10 years of having h.pylori, I am finally negative and feeling great!! Thank you for all your help Helico expert!!
