Helico_expert, today a hunger pang came full force to the point that it even did hurt for hours. This took me by surprise cuz it was the first one in more than a month and stomach wise things were going well. Not sure if this was just a random episode, as the pain was exactly as the ones I had before but longer. Now I'm confused and unsure if the treatment was a success.
This next Saturday it will make 2 weeks that I'm not taking Pantoprazol and in this meantime I only took the reflux pill (anti-acid) 4 or 5 times. But, with the hunger back, should I wait till Saturday to finally do the breath test or can I do it tomorrow? The doctor said that the test can only be done 15 days after the last Pantoprazol, but isn't 11 days without stomach pills enough?
If the breath test result end up saying that I'm H. Pylori free even if the hunger pangs returned, I don't know what to do.

I only took the reflux pill (anti-acid) 4 or 5 times.
what do you mean? what reflux pill exactly are you taking?
Pantoprazole is meant to reduce acid and prevent reflux.
if you are taking any acid suppressing drugs, you may not be able to do breath test. However, ranitidine and so H2 blockers are ok. have a look at this guideline on how to do breath test.

Have you done ultrasound to rule out the chance of gall stone?

When I ended the treatment I had reflux, so my doctor told me to continue with Pantoprazole for some days, but since I needed to stop taking it for 15 days in order to do the breath test, I was given this anti-acid to use in the meantime in case of reflux episodes. It is made of simethicone, aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide, but I only used it 4 or 5 times so far.
Yes, I did the ultrasound and everything was ok.
The hunger pang is exactly like the one before treatment, it only vanish when I eat.

that's fine. You can continue using these to ease your reflux symptom until the night before the breath test.

Hello I am new to this group I am on my 3rd round of antibiotics since July failed with hp7 pack then doctor changed amoxicillin to flagyl plus nexium so only one change from first round did this 7 days then when I had finished 5 days after another doctor said keep taking the same treatment for another 7 days to make sure you give it a good shot to get rid of it. I started to feel better once I finished ofcourse still had cramps and bloating burping but not like first round of antibiotics. Tested a month
Later and sadly still positive so they did an endoscopy with a new doctor and found gastritis erosive mild and duodinitis sorry for spelling. Doctor has now prescribed new round of drugs amoxicillin 500 mg levoflaxyn and pariot for 10 days twice a day. I started today first pariot then 30 mins latter both antibiotics then again after 11-12 hours is this fine and food how long after I have taken antibiotics can I eat I am not sure please help. The doctor said that the claramythin would have been the antibiotic that didn’t work first 2 rounds.

dont worry about the food. More importantly is to spread out the drugs evenly. For example, twice a day, so take it every 12 hrs. Three times a day, take it every 8 hrs.
with or without food is no big deal.
bismuth can boost the cure rate. It would be better if you can get bismuth and add to your treatment now. But if you cant, it's ok, your currently treatment may still work.
