Thanks for your informative response. Pleased to get your feedback on the GI Map.

As I stated, I’ve had 3 stool tests since eradication treatment over the past year:

2 negative, Oct 2018, Mar 2019
1 positive Sept 2019, and

1 recent breath test which was negative.

Am I right to assume that I should ignore that positive stool test 2 months ago (Sept 2019) and focus on doing additional breath tests in the future?

Also, I haven’t had an endoscopy since Dec 2018. (Think another member posted in my feed for your response about their personal situation.)

My Dec 2018 endoscopy was only looking for inflammation and there was none present at that time and Gastro surgeon said ‘all normal’.

Really appreciate your response.

Hi SJ66,

I notice the last test you took was the first breath test you’ve taken out of all the tests. The first breath test I took after treatment I was tested negative but I think it was probably a false negative as I don’t think I knew I wasn’t supposed to eat or even drink water within 2 hours before the test (nor did I know about all the other protocols). In any case I am still battling this bug myself. https://www.breathtek.com/test-informat ... can-expect

Replying to ankiwo72 message about breath test.

Thanks for your reply. The preparation for my breath test was 100% - I fasted for 12 hours and didn’t drink anything, I didn’t even brush my teeth! I have not taken antibiotics for 1 year, I don’t take PPIs, Pepto, antacids or vitamins/probiotics so absolutely nothing would interfere with the results of my breath test.

This Forum and writing to the Helico experts actually helped me (probably saved me) so much. So it’s a good, positive step contacting them to get advice on how to overcome HPylori.

Best wishes to you.

Hi Helico_expert

Replying to your earlier message (sorry if I’ve written this twice). When it’s convenient, I’d be very grateful for your thoughts:

I would ignore the positive stool test. Breath test is accurate enough.

since your last endoscopy has no abnormality, then there is no need for another one.

if you are over 50, and you had never had a colonoscopy, you should organise one.
