Thanks! But, can it be that my stomach acid is so low that both tests failed to detect H Pylori and the body is not able to make enough antibodies? Also, how can I be sure I will not contract it in the future, if I don't have it now? Should I avoid eating in public places/cafes, for instance? Thanks!

If you are still young and had endoscopy examination done, and the doctor did not see any abnormality, your should have good acid level.

There is no vaccine for H. pylori because anyone can be re-infected by H. pylori. To avoid being infected again, make sure you look after your personal hygiene. Get everyone under the same roof to get rid of the H. pylori.

Hi! Did another gastroscopy today, which revealed I still have gastritis, bile reflux, and my lower esophagus is a bit inflamed. Should better adhere to my diet, I suppose. However, the biopsy for h pylori is equivocal this time (very weak reaction as my examination protocol says). I guess, I can stop worrying about this bug for the time being. Thanks!

sounds good. perhaps you can get a breath test done in 2 weeks just to be sure.
