Thank you for your post. Yes indeed I went to the gastroenterologist after my endoscopy/colonoscopy and told him that I horrible heartburns, feeling of hunger in my stomach all day long, constant burbings... He told me that it was symptoms dyspepsia and that the 2 exams I underwent were not the cause of these new symptoms.
He did not give me a list of food to avoid.
It's good news you haven't got H Pylori. As for me, I have it and my first treatment failed in 2013. Now I am thinking of taking Pylera but I am scared.
As holistic cure, I tried essential oils for 2 months but it didn't work.
If you have a tip, I would be happy to get it.

I took mastic gum capsules for two months, and for about a month I also took cat's claw and triphala (a bio-film disrupter). I also chewed mastic gum, even though there is no scientific proof that h pylori lurks in the mouth. At the beginning I also took high quality Manuka honey, but it was so expensive I stopped. My thought process was that the Mastic gum couldn't hurt me and if it didn't eradicate the h pylori, it might keep the population down. I also took coconut oil.

I followed a procedure I found on the Internet. Look up Mastic Gum and h pylori.

I am not discouraging you from trying the Pylera, because h pylori is one nasty bacteria, but I do understand your reluctance to use it. Antibiotics saved my life twice in the past, but now that I am older I seem not to be able to tolerate them. I managed to avoid taking Cipro last week for a raging UTI caused by ecoli using D-Mannose. For the first time my PCP believed that something holistic could work, because he could compare my before and after urine cultures.

My main concern is that when I had my first treatment in 2013, I developped clostridium difficile after the treatment, because antibiotics ruined my gut flora. So I had to take several courses of special antibiotics to kill clostridium difficile and it took me months to be healed. It was a hard time for me.
My main fear now is to get clostridium difficle while taking Pylera. Helico expert you reassured me a bit with your posts but I keep on being anxious. In the case I have clostridium when taking pylera, will I have to stop Pylera? I mean I really don't want to stop pylera before 10 days because I will develop resistance afterwards and it will ruin my chance to get rid of this horrible helicobacter. And this is absolutely not that I want. Helicobacter is currently killing my life, my life is hell, I feel nauseous all the time and now I have heartburns, stomachache (feeling of hollowness...).

Hi,

I think the chance of you getting C. difficiles from Pylera is low. Because Pylera contain bismuth and that kills C. difficiles.

I understand how you feel, because I was ill for quite a while with a hospital acquired infection after an appendectomy in the 60's. My late father died six months after acquiring C-diff at a local hospital. In 2006 I had never heard of feacal transplants, so I was limited in my ability to help him. If I could re-wind time I would send him for FT rather than keep killing off his microbiome with repeated rounds of antibiotics.

One of the reasons I have delayed having endovascular coiling for my brain aneurysm is my abject fear of MRSA and C-Diff. In the past few weeks I located a doctor who does FT should I need to be treated. You might think about finding a local doctor who does this, because it might ease your fear if you have a "cure" ready.

Also you could take probiotics. While I was taking the holistic items I mentioned in an earlier post I took a single strain probiotic recommended by one of the h pylori sites.

Thanks you For your post Campanile, I feel very sorry for your father, Clostridium difficile is even more nasty than helicobacter for sure! In France, fecal transplant has been allowed for 2 years, and I know very well a hospital doing this near my place.
After my clostridium episode, I took a lot of probiotics which helped a lot I think.

I have one urgent question for helicoexpert :
When taking pylera, one has to accociate it with ppi. What is the best : omeprazole like mopral or esomeprazole like inexium? Which one should I take?

any proton pump inhibitor (PPI) will do. omeprazole, esomeprazole, pentoprazole, rabeprazole, etc etc.. they all do the same job... reduce stomach acid so the antibiotics work better.

There are different PPI because they act on different enzymes in our body and by stopping different crucial pathway, it stopped the acid production. some may stay in the body slightly longer than the other and some may act slightly faster. But ultimately, they all accomplish the same job.

Is it possible to take anti vomiting drugs while taking pylera (no interactions ?)? I am asking this because I am currently vomiting a lot due to symptoms of helicobacter and I think that taking pylera will make my sickness worse. I and don't want to vomit the pills.

yes you can. Such as maxolon. please discuss with your doctor before taking any.
