These days h Pylori bacteria is very smart and resistant to most antibiotics so the eradication is only 50% but killing your digestion is 100%. This is why so many people these days turn to natural treatment which will take longer but without killing your stomach.
But usually we look for alternative solutions before listening to a doctor

Hello hellico expert,
I thank God first. And thank you for this forum as well.
i have found some good tips as well as some sad stories.
i finished my treatment on March 02 2018 and on April 04 they did endoscopy and show negative for h pylori and other diseases.
GI says that i have mild gastritis.
nevertheless i still feel some burning pain in my stomach. and intestines(IBS) after finishing heavy dosage of antibiotics.
amoxicillin, clarithromycin, and a proton pump inhibitor for 14 days
I'm currently taking nexium 20mg in the morning but the problems is that if i take it at night, i can't sleep
I'm 150 lb.
i just to take 40mg of ameprazole before in the morning// and i felt all kinds of wear/depress/anxious/nauseous feeling.
zantac 150mg at night seem to help little bit.
I feel little better now than before but this mild pain after i eat still bother me.
I only eat oatmeal, banana, Apple, steam chicken, boiled turkey, steam broccoli, spinach, veggies that soothe me good(I"m very strict with my diet)
Question??
do you think that i still will manage to be heal even though i still feel some burning in my upper abdomen and some time in my lower abdomen with only taking 20mg of nexium in the morning.???????
to be honest i know for some people it took long time to be heal. But i want to make sure if by taking lower dosage of OTC PPI and been careful with what i eat, is still okey.
the reason why I'm asking this, is because some times i get some BAD days

where i feel disappointed and the burning is from mild to severe??
MY GI seems to not care.

It’s unfortunate that some people do not recover immediately. The recovery time is very subjective as it depends on how much damage was done by HP. Since you have done endoscopy and nothing really serious was observed, I think there is nothing you should worry about. Please make sure you do a follow up breath test a month later to confirm you are free if HP. Then you can focus on the recovery.

Usually a patient would need to stop Nexium for at least 2-3 weeks before testing for H. pylori. However, the histology of the biopsy may give some hint if you had H. pylori. Sometimes when the patients' result is undetermined, we would ask the patient to come back again for second UBT. If you think you might still have HP, perhaps you can seek second opinion a month later after stopping Nexium.

Hellico expert.
I thought that endoscopy plus two biopsy of the stomach was sufficient and I didn’t have to do an breath test??
(Endoscopy shows no h pylori)

Bu the way my GI, and doctors say that breath test is not 100% accurate.
Is that possible????
If so which one is more accurate???
Blood
Stool
Breath
Biopsy

no test is 100%
endoscopy + histology + Clotest is usually more accurate, but also more difficult as you need to do it in the hospital with specialist.
stool and breath tests are also very accurate if it is done correctly. Also, they can be done by local GP.
i trust your doctor's result. But if you want to get a peace of mind, you can repeat the stool or breath test a month later to triple confirm.

@shid0x, your experience is highly valuable. I wish more people could see it.
My own experience was posted here:
viewtopic.php?f=33&t=205843
I recently translated it to WeCured (
link here) so that it can reach more people who are suffering from H Pylori. Helico.com and WeCured have really helped me in my journey.
You should translate your experience to WeCured as well so that more people can see it.
