Constant nausea for 2 months

Well done, I have no HP infection. Blood test is negative. I still feel slightly nauseous all the time and get some anxietic moods which is really bad. I think my doc is right. I just have chronic gastritis. Hope that I'll heal soon. I'm on Nexium for a month and half and keep it taking.

Hi again,

I still feel sick. Up to constant nausea for 4 months. Sometimes tolerable, sometimes nightmare. I lost 25 kgs during this time. I eat much better than previous tho.

Can basic/simply infection due to common cold cause chronic gastritis or something like that? I still suspect about HP infection or another one. Last year, same thing happened. Get a good sousing due to heavily rain, than I was starting to feel sick. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Diarrhea and vomiting just long for 3-4 days but I felt sick for 2 months. I took HP drugs (no test or something, my GI just gave me those drugs) This time, UP TO 4 MONTHS. My psychology is very bad. I don't know what should I do.

What do you guys recommend me?

Last year, I use ppi+amox+clr combo for HP infection and it worked for me. 2 weeks after treatments, I felt very fine.

This time ppi+amox+mtr will be better than ppi+amox+clr? I'm really wondering that can hp infection come back again with simply common flu or something?

Should I add bismuth?

I got my ppi+amox+clr. I live in Turkey and HP eradication rate is %70 around in here.

there hasnt been much solid proof of other pathogen that may be responsible for stomach inflammation.

Perhaps you want to find a way to get a breath/stool test to double confirm your previous treatment? it's not good to keep trying different antibiotics without a positive diagnosis. you may end up having lots of different multi-drug resistant bacteria.

Totally agreed, but I'm really tired because of this. Maybe randomly, maybe something like that but last year it just longs one and half month with HP drugs.

And now, almost 4 months but I still nauseous ALL THE TIME. I just give it a try. I really don't want to wait for stool/breath test. Break PPI wait for 3-4 weeks and so..

I don't see any ppl with constant nausea for 4 months who diagnosed as chronic gastritis with mild inflammation except me. I think there's another thing, don't know what it is.

Must not loss patience. You must find out if your H. pylori is cleared, only then you can focus on the recovery.

if you dont want to wait, you can see a specialist, book yourself an endoscopy, ask for CLOtest, histology and bacteria culture with antibiotic sensitivity test.

you will be advised to do this if you are still positive for H. pylori anyway.

Update.

Nausea continues. Sometimes good, sometimes very bad but it always with me since 7 months! Only after meals as I said before. I feel some tiredness after eating, too. I did not take any antibiotics for HP infection.

Should I get breath test?

if you are going to spend a lot of time thinking whether you have H. pylori, then yes, go get a breath test.
