Thank you for the advice regarding salt. I have Ménière's Disease which has required me to be careful with my salt intake for the last two decades. Up until recently MD was my only health issue. I managed it with low dose Valium and a diuretic.

I have delayed the colonoscopy and endoscopy, because I have just been officially diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, which requires certain surgical precautions to prevent it from spreading to other parts of my body. I have to find a gastro who understands CRPS, because gastro issues can be caused/exacerbated by CRSP. With my new diagnosis I think it makes sense to be conservative and a breath test for h pylori is a more conservative approach than an endoscopy. I will pay for this out of pocket if I cannot get one of my doctors to agree to it.

Thanks for sharing your story with us. And sorry to hear about all your issues. I'm afraid the only effective way to eradicate this bacteria is to complete the full treatment of antibiotics. If these antibiotics don't work for you, there is others you can try as well as different dosage. Stool or blood test won't make any difference to treat you. The only way to know which antibiotics you are sensitive to, is to have an endoscopy where we can take biopsy and culture the bacteria for antibiotic testing. However, not everyone have to go through endoscopy to be cured. Just try to avoid the most common antibiotics you might have already taken in your life, as it is likely that your H. pylori is already resistant to it.
