we believe H. pylori is transmitted via oral route. We have seen couples living together carrying same type of H. pylori. studies have shown H. pylori can present in the mouth. But nobody has done experiment to show kissing transmit H. pylori.

so based on my observation and understanding, i think you are right. the chance of transmitting H. pylori via kissing is possible but rare. or else, we would have detected more similar H. pylori among couples.
