You probably dont need breath test if you are doing breath test. Zactac and other acid reducing drug will not affect the result of blood test. As for breath test, I still think you need to stop at least a week before breath test.

Thank you. I will discuss this with the GI Doc on Friday and get her opinion. I am hoping that I can just go with the H Pylori blood test results and not have to do the breath test. Its only my second day off the PPI's and my stomach and throat are killing me. Hopefully I can focus on the positive and it will get better. I am still taking zantac because if I don't my stomach will fill up with acid. GERD, IBS, fun times!

So I got a call from my GP that the h pylori blood test was negative. So I'm clear??? If sooo yay!!! I have to fix my stomach issues tho lol. Need to figure out what's causing my painful gastritis.

if your blood test is negative, assuming the lab is doing a good job, then you are most probably never infected with H. pylori.

knowing that you had an ulcer detected in one of your endoscopy session, and you dont take pain killers, it's very suspicious. What causes your ulcer?

I dunno... Maybe I have bile reflux too? Who knows.
