hi,

breath test is pretty accurate. stool test is just a double confirmation. Did you stop taking any acid reduction medication for at least 3 weeks prior the breath test? The acid reduction medication will interfere with the test kit and give false negative result. I would just repeat the breath test again. see how negative is negative.

If your symptoms persist use an acid blocker for a few weeks. If no better then you should have an endoscopy because you probably don't have an Hp problem causing your symptoms. Sometimes acid returns to normal or high levels after Hp eradication and you can have more symptoms for a while although you might actually feel better - and enjoy your meals more.
If acid symptoms persist long term then a PPI type drug is required - for GORD. :geek:
