Hello all

I have gotten a positive stool test for h pylori and have symptoms including stomach pain, bloating, fatigue and weakness

Treatment will be 14 days and consist of clarithromycin 500mg twice daily, amoxicillin 1g twice daily, and omeprazole 20mg twice daily

I plan to combine triple therapy with bismuth subcitrate and hope someone can help with a couple of questions

Can bismuth subcitrate be taken at the same time as the other pills? I have read conflicting things that confuse me a lot. The product "Pylera" for examble contain both PPI and bismuth subcitrate in the same pill. Another product called ulcamed that contain only bismuth subcitrate says to take it away from PPI and calcium containing foods. My plan is to take all tablets at the same time shortly before a meal if this is okay

Can i drink sugar free pepsi with meals while getting h pylori treatment? I suffer with stomach pain and can only drink pepsi and dasani water without getting pain

Best regards Simon

you can take bismuth together with the antibiotics.

you can drink sugary or non-sugary drinks while having antibiotics.
