So you have done the endoscopy after the treatment? if not, have you done a follow up breath test to see if you had successfully eradicate H. pylori?

I assume nothing abnormal was reported in the endoscopy report. What did the histology report say?

Interesting... blood test is not recommended after treatment. Because if you are indeed positive of H. pylori, your blood test can remain positive for years.

a negative blood test result would indicate that you dont have H. pylori at least for a year.

My symptoms started in April 2020 and I was not diagnosed until December 2020. That was a lot of pain. I thought the pain would stop after treatment but it did not.

I finished my H-pylori antibiotic treatment in January 2021 and continued to feel awful. A follow-up endoscopy showed I was clear. So, after that my GI washed his hands of me and called it "functional dyspepsia". Stomach pain for no reason.

After a lot of research and months of more pain, (and 2 trips to ER) I found that high doses of Lyrica (pregabalin) could manage the pain. I titrated to 375 mgs per day. 600 mgs is the max. I continued this treatment from June 2021 to February 2022.

A friend recommended I try acupuncture. After the first treatment I felt a shift in my gut pain. I slowly reduced the Lyrica and after 9 treatments I am down to 25 mgs a day. I will continue treatments until I am off the drug.

If my story can help ONE person, it will be enough for me. I had no expectation that acupuncture could work but it has been a miracle treatment. I can now eat and drink whatever I want, which is another miracle after a steady diet of quinoa and protein shakes.

As a treatment, acupuncture is non-evasive, relatively inexpensive and easy to access. I was ready to spend $$$$ dollars more and was thinking of going to the Mayo clinic before I discovered this amazing treatment.
